About our studio
Soundance Children's Ballet has been a part of the Williamsburg/ Greenpoint Community for over 20 years. For two decades we were located in an artist loft building on N 7th St. between Havemeyer and Meeker.
In December 2022, we lost our long time studio space but are so grateful to continue offering classes for our dancers.
Beginning in September 2023, all classes will take place at the Dance Space NY Studio in the Pencil Factory Building in Greenpoint.
The studio is full of natural light, with full mirrors and wood floors, and freestanding ballet barres.
About Miss Kelly
Kelly Hayes has been teaching at Soundance since 2000. In her classes, children receive personal attention and experience the joy of dance for fun, fitness, and self- confidence. Kelly’s teaching creates a positive and supportive environment in which to meet the needs of each child.
Kelly Hayes has over 20 years of teaching experience working with students age 1.5 through professional levels. In addition to teaching at Soundance, she is also on faculty at Joffrey Ballet School, Union Square Play, Kaplan Preschool of Hoboken, and The Ailey School.
Ms. Hayes is originally from Chicago, Illinois and earned her BFA in modern dance performance from the University of Iowa. She continues to be active as both a performer and creator with several dance and theatre companies in NYC and is also proud mama to a son, born May 2016.
